Bodhi and I are off on another great U.S. escapade...whew...this all amounts to alot of driving...time in the car...cramped bodies and pent up energy. When driving through Kansas the monotany nearly drove me into a deep and abiding slumber. I staved off the snooze contemplating Dorothy's manic need to get home. Then I discovered the big/ little town of Lawrence, KS. Now that's a town I would click some ruby slippers to come home to. Bodhi played at the local park where we found another four-leaf beauty, but resisted the greedy temptation to pluck it and just photographed it instead. Now we are at the Lake of the Ozarks, resting up for a night before heading out to Illinois tomorrow.

Angelina! Lake of the Ozarks is my hometown...Osage Beach is, anyway. I hope you are having a lovely stay...it's a little crazy this time of year. My sister Terri, you remember her? She, and her two kiddos, flew into KC Thursday night and is down at the Lake with my parents. We are headed up there later this morning...it will be the first time I've seen her since she finished chemo two summers ago.
Have FUN in Illinois...I hope you see lots of friends and create wonderful memories. On your way back through Missouri, call me...I'm in Springfield, but would love to meet you two for a cup of tea or whatever. 618.553.8532.

Oh Traci, I missed the opportunity. I never checked email until I arrived home. Thank you so much for thinking of us. The lake was stunning and we had a really lovely time just relaxing before driving on into Illinois. I hope you are well and happy.
Much love,
Angelina
